The Suicide Survivors’ Club Organization

Our Mission

To end the stigma of loss by suicide through integrative art/narrative tools that support loss survivors to seek help, speak their truth, and process their grief with the hope they will heal and restore their lives.

The creators of the art/narrative 5-book set Suicide Survivors’ Club – A Family’s Journey Through the
Death of Their Loved One are suicide loss survivor/author Rebecca Anderson and artist/storyteller
Laurie Phillips. They are also the founders of SSC, LLC, an independent self-publishing and content
creation company, founded in 2015. SSC offers suicide loss survivors a way to connect with their stories and find
healing through the SSC integrative art/narrative tools.

The Suicide Survivors Club 5-book set is the foundation to all the offerings SSC has created, that
include: a workbook titled Healing After a Suicide Loss: All Ages Workbook + Activity Guide, a
professional workshop, Trauma Transformed Through Art and Narrative, and the Story Portrait™ art
workshop for suicide loss survivors. Also available is a one-hour presentation, Trauma Transformed
Through Art and Storytelling that can be customized for specific audiences.

Suicide Survivors Club was honored to receive a 1st place Midwest Book Award (2017) for
memoir/autobiography by the Midwest Independent Publishers Association (MIPA), and reviewed
as a valuable resource by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) and the American
Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), leading national organizations serving suicide loss
survivors and suicide prevention. We are a proud partner of NAMI MN who also serves as our fiscal
